LETTER FROM NOLA ~ SUMMER / FALL 2004
Welcome to our world!
This letter launches our newly designed web site. (Many thanks to Kaie Wellman and Susanne Frank for their valuable design and copy-writing services.) We updated our web site to give you more information about who we are, what we do, and why we do it.
This time of year, we provide auditing and accounting services to our non-profit, business, and trust clients. Although the long hours of tax season have ended (replaced by the delightfully long days of summer), we continue to provide tax services throughout the year. Many of our clients have fiscal year-ends, and others have filed extensions.
These extended due dates create what we call "mini tax seasons" on August 15, September 15, and October 15.
The summer always passes too quickly and, before you know it, year-end tax planning season will be upon us. We like to meet with many of our clients before year-end to develop tax-saving strategies that can be implemented in time to reduce the current year's tax liabilities. It often makes sense to begin this process toward the end of the year, so that all the factors can be taken into consideration.
Late in the year, we receive the coming year's tax software, updated for the myriad law changes that now take place with little fanfare. And last, we begin the process of creating and sending out our tax organizers and checklists.
Throughout the passing of all of these seasons, we look forward to the pleasure of working with you.
